Before I get started on how you spy on Facebook campaigns it's important to first explain "WHY". To put it simply: When you spy properly you give yourself a headstart, you're much closer to the finish line (profit) than an affiliate who doesn't spy and you gain real time market feedback of what's working within a given vertical. If you're a new media buyer or even an experienced affiliate but you're looking for inspiration then spying is SUPER important. If you fall into one of these buckets then you probable have the "fear of the unknown" before you launch your next campaign. This can cause you to make wild assumptions or just hover your campaign launch altogether. Spying removes any uncertainty and you go into your first test camps with your head held high and benchmark to work against. DISCLAIMER: Quality spying isn't a copy & paste (robbing) strategy...copy & paste peeps please exit this thread 😄If you go the lazy route and just copy other affiliate campaigns from A to Z then you're 3, 6 or even 12 months behind so your profits will never be as high as the original affiliate as the audience could have burned with campaign assets you've just robbed. If you're spying properly then you're not robbing campaigns you're modelling successful ads. This avoids any future banner blindness, flags for "circumvention" by FB algo and drastically speeds up your testing process. Now that you know why you spy and what you shouldn't be doing when you spy, here are 3 super affiliate spying methods that I use and would recommend to any serious Facebook media buyer: 1. Spy Tools : The most obvious and also the most expensive method is to use a Spy tool to find out what other affiliate marketers are doing to promote offers on Facebook. Some FB spy tools that I would recommend include Ad Spy, Big Spy, Social Ad Scout and BH Spy (best for tier 1 blackhat campaign spying - Crypto, Sweeps, Nutra etc) PRO'S: Target specific offers using key Fast, you can find top campaigns in minutes Global coverage Powerful filtering Large databases of campaigns CON'S: Cost, some spy tools can be quite expensive for a cash strapped affiliate 2. Facebook Fanpage Info & Ads Hack: Facebook let's us spy for FREE. 😲 Yes for FREE on any Facebook page BUT there's a catch you need to know the name of the FB page you want to spy on. As long as you have FB page then spying is a breeze. Here's a quick guide on how to do it: Go to the facebook page you want to spy on Find Page Transparency in bottom right hand corner and select "See More" as shown below If the page is running ads you will see "This Page is currently running ads." in the Ads from this Page section as shown below..go ahead and select "Go to Ad Library". Now I can see all this affiliates campaigns...naughty 😉 PRO'S: Free Can double down on a single super affiliate's strategy CON'S: Time consuming, this method can be slow and quite tedious at times especially when finding several FB pages. 3. Similar Web Mafia Ok so for this method all you need is your offer URL, so the actual advertiser page domain. Download Similar Web Chrome extension Head over to the advertiser domain, e.g tedswoodworking.com Select the similar web Chrome extension Once it opens up select "More Insights" Once similar web opens up scroll down till you find "Referrals" Now look at the top referring sites to begin spying on websites sending traffic to the offer page...a.k.a AFFILIATES 💰PRO'S: Free and easy to implement Fairly fast to executeCON'S: Limited affiliates to scope I hope you enjoyed these spying tips.
